A Stepping Stone Foundation, founded April 3, 1989, in collaboration with the Isaac and Alhambra School Districts, provides five preschool classes for a total of 90 children. Identified as those with the most "limited opportunities" within their attendance boundaries, the children must be four when school begins. The classes are culturally diverse and are representative of their districts.

But.. "Why..." you might ask, "...is preschool so important anyway? Isn't beginning one's education in kindergarten early enough?"
